Stable Bothy & Shepherd's Bothy sit within 30 acres of Lagnaha land in the Strath of Duror between Duror Forest and Ardsheal Hill. The original Shepherd's bothy and Stable have been lovingly restored and converted into two independent semi-detached cottages with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Thick original stone walls and high ceilings in the main living areas have allowed a mezzanine floor to be incorporated making for a unique contemporary yet traditional bothy feel.
The main living areas in both bothies are open plan and include the lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The lounges have a large comfy corner sofa, smart TV and a Squirrel Mørsul wood burning stove. Underfloor heating, with tiled floors throughout the ground floor ensure comfort, practicality and warmth. The ground levels both have a twin bedroom (or double) and a bright all tiled bathroom. The mezzanine levels have a double bedroom (or twin) with a further one (Shepherd’s Bothy) or two beds (Stable Bothy) separated by a paravent screen.
Each Bothy is great for a couple or for a family of 5-6 and can be booked together with the other Bothy next door to give accommodation for up to 11. The Bothies have shared use of the large gravel stable courtyard, where there is outdoor seating for each unit. This area is fully enclosed and there is plenty of room for parking. Lagnaha’s horses live in the stables on the other side of the yard.
Dogs are very welcome.
